Q: my chevy 2000 tahoe would not start this morning then after several tries it started right up and is running f?
My Chevy Tahoe 2000 Limited would not start a few mornings ago and then after several tries it started right up and has ran with no problems. Then it did the same thing this morning and after several tries has started and is running. What could be causing this?
A: Fuel pump or passlock malfunction.
If it won’t start, turn the key forward and listen for the fuel pump to whine.
If you don’t hear it, there could be a fuel pump problem. Try hitting the bottom of the tank and try again.
If you do hear the fuel pump, try banging on top of the steering column and try again.
If that works, the passlock sensor in the ignition switch is probably worn out.
Q: What kind of gas milleage does a chevy tahoe get?
Im thinking of buying a chevy tahoe. Proably around 1999 maybe a little newer no more than 8000$ and I would like to know reAlisticly what kind of gas mileage it would get. (2wd and 4wd) I live on a island so there is not really a freeway and the longest I would be driving (usually) 60 miles round trip. At 50 mph.
I think they get around 11-14 some were in there but not sure

A: early 90s tahoe or yukon 4×4 got about 12 or 13 mpg, the two wheel drive version (which is more rare) did a little better the 5.7 did 16 to18 average, probably a bit better at 50 mph . Both vehicles had great engines, tranny sometimes had problems between 130,000 and 150,000 but not all of them. but the drive trains were strong and held up pretty well to anything you could do to them Later models (after 1997 had vortec motors ( more power) different fuel injection system that gave a little better fuel mileage. but was well known for being strong and dependable.

A: LS and LT denote different levels of convenience packages. LS is typically cloth seats with power driver seat and manual passenger seat. LT is the “luxury package” will usually come with leather seats, power seats, windows, locks, etc…

A: With such little info, hard to diagnose. Some things to check.
1. pinched fuel lines
2. dirty MAF sensor
3. bad PCV valve
4. vacuum leak

A: depends on if your just wanting to switch the mufflers or the piping and everything.. its possible the pipes may even line up because the tahoe and silverado are similar but if not just take it to your local welder and he can cut and weld the pipes to fit..

I was looking at a Tahoe today. It had 41K miles, but was only showing 197 engine hours, that’s not near enough hours for that many miles. What could be the deal with it? I didn’t buy it after seeing that, because I thought maybe someone had messed with it.
GM: You’ve averaged about 28mph since you’ve had it. If this Tahoe was correct, it would have averaged over 200mph. Highly unlikely, lol.

Q: How can I improve ride quality on 2004 Chevy Tahoe?
My Tahoe was two different types of suspensions: torsion bar in the front and coil in the rear. The ride is not as smooth as it once was. How can I improve the ride quality without changing the type of suspension which I am not sure can even be done? I have looked at adding an air suspension but it doesn’t seem promising.

A: Based on the information that you have provided, you have a Class III/IV Hitch. Hitches in those classes have a minimum WC / WD: 5000 / 7000 (weight carrying=WC, weight distributing=WD). IF the car came equipped with the hitch from the factory/dealer..you can bet that you are probably in this range of capacity unless it was specially ordered with a heavier one.

Q: Can the bulbs be replaced on the climate control head in an 05 chevy tahoe?
The control head for climate control does not light up on my 05 tahoe. The dealer said I would need to replace the whole head, that the bulbs can not be replaced. Is this the case?
