A: Your parents don’t have a 2001 Dodge Charger. There is no such thing. The newer Chargers were model year 2006 till present.

A: Don’t pay attention to Mike…he is bitter for some reason. Chrysler has stepped up to the game and has a good line-up of quality built vehicles.

Like others have suggested, a Chrysler 300, Magnum, Challenger or even a Pontiac G8 are the cars you should be looking at.

I just bought a 1973 Dodge charger with no A/C .Everything has been removed and i can’t figure out which parts i need to buy to build a new A/C system… any help?Thanks!

A: Does your Charger have the controls for A/C? I saw a Charger years ago with A/C vents but no underhood hardware and was told it had a ventilation system that flowed outside air through A/C ductwork, can’t remember the name of the system but it was a Chrysler factory installed system. And upon looking at the climate control switches saw no MAX A/C or A/C buttons, just vent, heat, and defrost.

I’ve seen one other car equipped in this way and was told by a third individual that a relative had one so equipped.

Q: Car Insurance on a 2008 Dodge Charger SRT8?
I was wondering what is a aproximate rate on the car insurance on a Dodge Charger SRT8. I am 22 years old and a good record. Any suggestions doesnt have to be accurate. Also if you have 2 cars is the rate cheaper than just 1 car.

A: yes it is cheaper to insure two cars rather than one,my cousin just bought a new charger with the hemi in it,and her insurance is well over 200 a month right now,the told her it would come down as she got older ,she doesn’t have any tickets or anything else,but to me that’s way too much to pay for insurance,but that’s full coverage also,she is also 25 years old,good luck.

Im either getting a Chrysler 300 or a Dodge Charger. I personally think the chrysler looks better, what do YOU think?

A: I definitely like the 300 better. Not to mention the interior’s much better looking, but then again that was designed by Mercedes-Benz so I’m not surprised.

Q: what would you call cars such as a Dodge Charger?
What do you call cars thats not luxury..but yet is fancy nice looking cars such as a dodge charger, chrysler 300, dodge magnum, new toyota camry, scion tc, honda accord? You know cars thats not any average ar, but instead has fancy features and designs to it?

A: Pretty much what the other guys said. Cars that you are refering to are called “upmarket”. Those are cars like the Acura TSX. They are “nice” but aren’t full on luxury cars. The 300, Charger, Magnum, Camry, Scion(economy car), and Accord are just regular cars.

Q: Dodge Charger or Ford Explorer Sport Trac?
I’ve been looking at some used cars lately, and I’ve narrowed my choices down to either a Dodge Charger or a Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with either of these cars or heard any reviews about them that I should be aware of before buying?

The main points I’m looking for are reasonable gas mileage, cabin space, storage space (interior or exterior)….and a little horsepower wouldn’t hurt either.

**I’m in the 10k-15k price range if anyone has any other recommendations in this range.

A: avoid 06 V8 Charger

avoid the 07 V6 Sport Trac

both 08’s are good.

I found the Ford’s ride to be loose, when fully loaded with people it settles down but if you drive by yourself might need to put some weight in the bed.

the Charger is about the only Dodge that doesn’t have terrible reliability ratings.

neither gets good mpg but they are big so that’s part of the package.

make sure you get side curtain air bags with the Charger without them the crash test results are poor.

Q: Dodge Charger Dub Edition? Where can I get one or how can I customize it to look like one?
I want to get a 2008 Dub edition Dodge Charger in Cool Vanilla or Red. I have many pictures of the car, so if I cant find anywhere or anyone who sells one, could I order parts from a local dodge dealer, then install them and make my Charger look almost identical to an original Dub edition? Please help

A: My ex-wife bought one. It is a Dub and the color is Cool Vanilla and it’s an 08. She now thinks it’s too big and is looking for something smaller. It has maybe 5,000 miles on it. Q: Is a 2007 0r 2008 Dodge Charger SE a good car for a teenager?
So is the Charger a good first car. If not, could you say which is would be a good choice. But it has to be new.

A: the Charger is a good car…the SE is the base model…2.7 V6….reliable, decent gas mileage and not a race car.

the Altima people mentioned is a fairly quick car…the last thing i want my teenager to have is a sporty fast car.

the Charger is big, safe and an all around decent choice.

Q: What brand of remote starter would you recommend for a 2007 dodge charger?
It’s a 2007 Dodge Charger SRT-8 6.1 Liter

A: I have a 2006 Ram 1500 Hemi Big Horn Limited. I bought the remote start from the dealer. (It does say Dodge right on the actual housing for the remote start box.) They gave me a 5 year warranty with it. That way if it even messes up I just take it to any Dodge dealership and they fix it in the 5 years. A few people that I have talked to that had problems with a remote starter said it screwed up in the first 2 years or so. Everyone else has never had any problems.

Were there any body differences between the 1969 Charger and the 1969 Super Bee? They look a lot alike!

Q: Can a Dodge Charger tow as much as a Dodge Ram Truck?
Now I notice that Dodge Ram trucks usually have a 5.7 hemi for power, but I noticed my friend has a 2009 dodge Charger 6.1 hemi 425 horsepower Srt8. So basically is the charger stronger and can it tow the same or even more than the 5.7 Dodge Ram hemi truck, or it cant due it being just a car??

A: no it cant ,one reason is it is a car and not a truck and the other reason is the suspension wouldn’t take the weight,and it doesn’t have a full frame under it either,i wouldn’t want to tow anything with charger ,those was made to drive not to use as a work truck,power wise if it had a good suspension and was set up right it probably would tow a lot of weight but not as much as a truck,good luck.

Q: How do i remove the body side molding off a 2006 dodge charger without damaging the paint/body?
I want to give my charger a cleaner look by removing the body side molding, but i don’t no if it’s a job i can do myself or if i have to take it to a bodyshop. If anybody has done this before, please give me some advice.

A: i have never took any off ,some people say they stick on and some say bolt on,call any body shop around,they can tell you for sure ,because you can bet they have had to remove these before for some reason,that’s what i do when I’m in doubt,good luck on it.
