Q: Why are new 2010 Dodge Challengers cheaper than used 2009 Challangers? Same model.?
I’m interested in purchasing a Dodge Challenger SE but everywhere I look online I find used 2009 Challengers for $23k or more. I went to a Dodge dealership last night and they had a new 2010 Challenger for $21. What’s the deal? Why is the new model and new car cheaper than the older model and used car? Both are SE.

A: Purely because of the economics. The American auto industry decided that,to compete against the Japanese and Korean’s,their pricing had to be restructured, especially those who had bail out money.

Q: how much does a used dodge challenger cost?

A: Depends on trim level and mileage, and condition of the vehicle.

Q: I’m buying this car.2010 Dodge Challenger SE – $21,996 is 9,478 miles bad for a used car?
If i buy it from an individual do i have to pay all the money up front or like a down payment and monthly payments

A: He is trying to get more than book for it. If you do agree on a price he would need to be paid all at once. You need to pre-arrange financing from a bank or credit union before you shop so when you do find a car you can pay them cash. If you decide to run a vehicle check I recommend against Carfax. They are known to contain errors or omissions of critical information. It is also well worth a thorough inspection by a competent mechanic before purchase.

Q: Can you mix power steering fluid with automatic transmission fluid in a dodge?
I have an 09 dodge challenger. In the manual it says you can use either power steering fluid, or automatic transmission fluid in the power steering reservoir. Can you mix automatic transmission fluid and power steering fluid together? Does this do any harm? There doesn’t seem to be any answers on the forums.

A: It does indeed say you can use either, so it won’t hurt to mix them. Power steering fluid is clear to yellow and transmission fluid is red. If you develop a leak, you can’t look at the drip spots and tell what is leaking.

Q: Gas mileage of Taurus and modern Challenger?
Isn’t it weird? 2002 Ford Taurus gets 18mpg city and 25mpg highway. The 2009 Dodge Challenger V6 gets 18mpg city and 25mpg highway. Both are V6 24 valve. But the newer Dodge Engine has variable valve timing to save gas. Why would they get the same gas mileage when they are totally different cars. Remember that the Dodge uses a live rear axle while wastes energy that could have been used to drive the wheels. FWD is more gas efficient. So what gives?

A: Actually, the Challenger engine DOES have better fuel economy. Like you said, the rear axle uses more power. Also, the Challenger weighs over 4,000 pounds while the Taurus is around 3,000. Because of this, the engine has to use more power to move the Challenger than it would the Taurus.

If the Challenger engine was in the Taurus, it would get more MPG, and if the Taurus engine was in the Challenger, it would get less MPG.

Q: What are the seven cars used in Jesse McCartney’s “How Do You Sleep” music video?
One is clarified as a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T, there are two Mustangs, one Pontiac, and three cars I don’t know.

I’d like to know the year and name of each vehicle.

A: I don’t know but I…..

LOVE JESSE MCCARTNEY!!!! ♥♥♥♥

Q: can u help me with tips on buying a used car?
i want either a 2010 camaro or the dodge challenger. And im only 17.but i need the steps i need to take in order to do this.i make minimum wage.and i dont know if you have to pay full cash for a used car.which one is faster?and which one is better?any comparisons?i have no idea about cars lol and please no rude comments=)

A: You can also try to get approved for a used car loan from your bank if you are planning to buy private party. Since you are only making minimum wage be sure to find out how much insurance will cost. Being that your only 17 you could find yourself paying quite a bit and you don’t want to get yourself into a bad financial situation trying to pay for both.
As far as, “which one is better?” in my opinion, the Dodge is more comfortable and doesn’t have allot of blind spots like the camaro. But when it comes to performance, the Dodge can’t compete with the Camaro whether its a V6 or V8. To see side by side comparisons you can check out, caranddriver.com or motortrend.com

Q: Is a dodge challenger a good car to buy &use?

A: I have owned a Challenger R/T since November 2009 and I absolutely love it. It is a smooth ride with plenty of power. I have always been a MOPAR fan (especially the early 70s E-bodies) so this was an obvious choice for me. This vehicle does suck the gas down and it is indeed not cheap to insure, so if you are fairly young (I am not) you probably want to look elsewhere. Also, a fully-loaded R/T will run almost 40k. A better choice might be the Mustang which is also a great car, but a little less expensive. I also own an older Mustang and love it as well.

Q: financing a used car… how long?
hello. im looking into buying a new/used car sometime between february and april. im gonna berbuying a Dodge Challenger. my question is, when buying a used car, can you finance it for the same aount of time as a new car (72 months) i understand the cars price usually affects the financing length. but Challengers havnt really gone down any, and stay around the same price as new ones. the main reason im thinking of getting a used one is because i want one in Deep Water Blue, and by the time im ready to buy it, the new 2011 models will be out, and theyre dropping that color.

so, how long can i finance a 2010 Dodge Challenger that costs $22.000?
i also understand that your credit score plays a big part, but the longer the term, the lower my payments and the easier it would be to pay everymonth. so it wouldnt make sense to finance it for a shorter time if you have bad credit or new credit.

A: Financed cars is more expensive to insurance cause it requires full coverage. You can compare how much you would pay for full coverage of this car using this tool – carinsurance.yoll.net

Q: Dodge Challenger 1971?
I use to own a1971 Dodge Challenger. I loved this car.In 1972 this car was setting on car lot in a small town where we lived at the time.We went into the dealership to see about buying a new car for me, The salesman asked me if I would like to see the Challenger, it was a year old and they could not sell it. When we went out to see it, we could see why. The Challenger was purple, dark purple, with the top white. The color was called Plum Purple. This was a new color for cars in the 70’s. No one wanted it because of the color. The dealer gave me a good price on it if I bought it. So I did, I Kept that car until some one stoled it out of our driveway one weekend while we were gone., This was in 1988. I want another Challenger in good condition , know where I might find one?

A: check this web site out,you may find one on it,i sold both of mine last year on this site, its a good place to find one,it may not be perfect though, both of mine needed work ,good luck,,http://www.oldride.com/ http://classiccar.com/

Q: How hard is it to get a car loan with bad credit but with a great credit cosigner?
I’ve been car shopping for at least a year now & I’ve been back & forth on what I want. I’ve saved up about $10,000 & I’ve paid off all my credit cards & other things & hurt my credit. I want to buy a used Dodge Challenger R/T that I’ve been lucky to find for only $26,000(before tax & fees) but my credit score is 504, my mother said she’ll cosign for me cause her credit is in the high 720+ but even so I still doubt I’ll get a loan. My cousin said that I’m giving a Bank 10,000 reason to give me a loan & if they do deny me I should try a credit union. Does anyone have any Thoughts on this?

A: First you have to look at the year of the car, the bank won’t finance anything that 5-7 Years old, I would suggest the credit union, and let your mother put it her name.

Q: How long does it take for a car to become reasonably priced?
I want to buy one of the new Dodge Challengers. I don’t want to pay full price for it (30k), in fact I want to pay the lowest possible price imaginable. I want to buy used.

They started making them in 2008. How long do I have to wait for them to be under $10k. It’s 2010 now.

A: Id say at least 8 years.

Q: is a dodge challenger a good car to buy &use?

A: yes if your talking about one of the newer ones yes they are real good cars to own and drive, their just not practical to drive as an every day car though because the thief’s are out looking of them to steal, and if it was an older one the cost of keeping it in good condition and driving it every day wouldn’t be to practical either, good luck.

Q: Could the term “Ghost Rider” Be used like..?
Could this be used to say something about a car. Like i have a 2010 dodge challenger and its all blacked out. And i want to put Ghost rider in the back window. Because im a cop. I dont know why. It just seems fitting.

A: it would work good, there’s already a black 2010 camaro in our town that’s got a plate on it that says knight rider,so you could use it,it does sound like a good name for that car,the camaro is also blacked out as far as the widows and lights go,id use it ,its as good as anything else you could come up with, good luck and enjoy the car, nice choice.
