Q: How do I purchase a used Police Charger?
I am interested in purchasing an old, used police Dodge V8 Charger. I know these cars have not been on the road for that long, but I know there have to be some out there for some reason that aren’t used any more and up for sale. Where do I look for one? Do I need to find a police auction?

I know all the sensitive police equipment (electronics, lights, etc) will be removed, as this would be a project car for me. Any help would be appreciated!

Q: Used 2007 Dodge Charger SRT-8?
Ok. So I was just looking around for cars, I’m not really sure what kind of car im looking for. I found a Dodge Charger SRT-8 2007. It costs 6,000. Is this a good deal or should i stay away from a Charger for any reason? My budget is > 10,000. Thanks
If it were a salvaged title, what does this really mean. I know it means it was crashed severley, but whats wrong with it being rebuilt?

A: That car with normal mileage will run you easily over $20,000. If they are selling it for $6000 its either a Scam or the car has major problems. Sure its not a wrecked one being sold for rebuilding?

Q: How far apart are the clips used to hold the sun visor in place in a Dodge Charger year 2006 and up?
I need to know how far apart they are in inches. The part that attaches the sun visor to the roof, to the clip that holds it in place.
Where the sun visor attaches to the roof, i need to know from that point to the other clip on the roof that holds it in place from swinging around. How far apart those two peices are.

dodge charger (used) 2.7L. is it good to drive in snow? how does this car handle and everything? overall, is it good to buy?

A: it gets decent mileage but it has almost no performance value. if it doesn’t have optional 4 wheel drive it sucks in snow

when i say what kind i mean synthetic, semi synthetic, or regular

A: i use synthetic oil in most of mine and regular Pennzoil in the others and all use 5-w-30 weight in them,synthetic is a real good oil to to run in any vehicle, it will make the engine run a lot cooler and also last longer and holds up a lot longer than conventional oils do,if you want to make it last a long time run synthetic in it you,ll see a difference in the running temperature of it also,good luck.

Q: should i trade in my 07 dodge charger SE for a used RT with HEMI?
About 5 months ago i got a Dodge Charger SE 2.7 V6. Now that im making a little more money I was wodering if it would be worth trading in my Charger for an RT or if i should just keep me SE and save money for a a year or so and get a different car (like a used BMW or BENZ)………….If i kept the SE i would probably just give it a sexy paint job… Or i could just trade it in for a used low mile charger r/t and pay around 4k difference and just leave it stocked.. Keep in mind im 19 so what would u recomend for a guy like me.? My charger is currently white on 22 chrome rims and im happy with it but i would love that HEMI leather sunroof…ect :D thank you for your help..

A: You would take a huge loss trading in a car after only 5 months. You should have gotten the R/T in the 1st place.

Q: Question for law enforcement officers who driven/use a Dodge Charger?
Isn’t it too cramped to be a police car? It has a good setup with performance and everything but I think the space is too limited in the back compared to the Crown Vic. Is this right or is there a decent amount of room?

A: Because I am a female, the Chargers are perfect for me, but I have seen some Male officers who look a little cramped, but for the most part, everybody agrees that its an all around better car than the Crown Vic.

Q: Dodge Charger Police Car, Pursuit Model?
Next year, the used police car guys will have used Dodge Charger Police Cars for sale. I want to buy the pursuit model with the V8. Anything I should get that the factory sells that may NOT be on the Charger?. I see a limited slip differential, thicker sway bars, better shocks and springs. Or, don’t bother? does not need them?

And aftermarket items. Should I add more gauges? If so, which ones?

Hey Guys,

I am 16 and about to get my license and my parents are going to get me a car the is 20,000k or less. I want a used Dodge Charger black, not the v8 but the 3.5 v6. Is this a good first car to have? Based on insurance rates and safety rates. I also want to make sure there is a place in my car to play my ipod weather it’s a usb thing or the aux insert. Also I may not want a charger so if you guys can list some cars like a dodge charger with a ipod adapter with the sporty car look and not to powerful but not wimpy. So if you could list cars like that, it would be great thanks

A: the 3.5 engine is a good engine. but remember the charger is a BIG car.. 4100 pounds i believe.. so dont expect it to do hard core accelerating. the 5.7 is good. and the 6.1 is a freaking beasty engine!!
the sxt can be AWD also which is nice for the winter time.

Q: Is a Dodge Charger a good 1st Car for my 16 year old son?
My son, who is very responsible and has good grades, has been pleading with me to buy him a used Dodge Charger.

My husband and I have had 2 children already go through the process of getting a car, in which we bought them a Ford Explorer and a VW Jetta, so we know the process of purchasing a car.

My son’s friends have all gotten nice cars (Mercedes C350, Camaro, Mustang, BMW 328i) and I think he wants to find a sedan that he can be proud of.

I personally have never been a fan of Dodge cars, but I will admit I do not know much about the Charger.

My son has “done research” and he tells me that the 2007-Present models have a 2.7L Engine available with only 190-hp, which he says, “Is not that fast and would be safe.”

Our price range is $14,000 and the mileage range is <55,000.

If he can find a model within the criteria, is it a good purchase?
He would be extremely happy.

I’m just concerned about the insurance, safety, etc…
