Q: Where can I buy a front passenger side window for a honda civic dx sedan for cheap online?
I am looking for a passenger side front window for my 2000 Honda civic dx sedan for cheap. I have checked the local junkyards and have had no luck.
A: Try ebay motors…
http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?icep_ff3=1&pub=5574690244&toolid=10001&campid=5336430272&customid=&ipn=psmain&icep_vectorid=229466&kwid=902099&mtid=824&kw=lg
If you don’t already have an ebay account, you should get one – it opens up a whole world of bargains. Just make sure you buy from a seller with a 99% or better rating and over 100 sales. I have never had any problem as long as I have followed those guidelines.
Good luck!
Q: What options do I have on Engine upgrade for a 1987 Honda Civic 4 door?
I have a 1987 Honda Civic it is in Perfect condition but the engine just went bad also the clutch is bad. I want to buy a New Engine and Transmission Combination and would like to know what options I have I would like to go with a newer engine, but I understand engine mounts have to be taken into consideration. Thanks any reference would help.
A: Only B series will be available for your car since, as you mention the engine mounts availability but if you know a fabricator that could engine mounts then anything is possible provided you got the resources.
Q: What would a dual air intake system do in a 1994 Honda civic?
I got a 94 honda civic and im putting in a Spectre Cold Air Intake into to it but it is a single intake not dual. what would a dual intake system do to the car? i have seen them on muscle cars before and sound awsome!
A: None of that crap does anything. The best thing you can do is put back the air intake Honda engineered for your Honda motor. Had a 98 Prelude that came with a stupid chrome pipe with a stupider conical air filter at the end, picked up the correct Honda intake for it for $60 on ebay and they car never ran so good!
Q: Where do I find the coolant drain bolt on a 97 Honda Civic DX?
While attempting to perform a radiator flush, I couldn’t locate the drain bolt on my 97 Honda Civic DX. According to the Honda Civic Service Manual, it is located on the cylinder block. Is this the case? And if so, where exactly on the cylinder block can it be found? I found a potential spot next to the oil filter that looks promising, however getting to it is very difficult so I haven’t been able to verify as of yet. Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
A: U drain it at the radiator, on the bottom of the radiator u will find a plastic plug ( screw) you will need a phillips screw driver. Drain it and plz do not dump the anti freeze on the ground. Take it to auto zone to be recycled. Be green. Thanks
Q: What kind of igniton distributor can i use for my 1998 honda civic?

A: a distributor for a 1998 honda civic should work fine.
Q: Has anyone had any problems with the paint on their 2005 Honda Civic Special Edition stereo?
My dials on the stereo of my 2005 Honda Civic Special Edition have the silver paint coming off of them. Does anyone else have this problem?
Thanks!
A: when the car had 35,400 miles on my 05 ex-se my c.d’s started skipping or being rejected. they played before that and also in my other car. I mentioned it to the service advisor who said since the radio only had a warranty until 36,000 miles he would replace it for me. he did not want to take the change if it totally died and then i would have to buy a replacement. but to answer your question the buttons started to get that worn-out look. sold the car so do not know how the new radio is.
Q: What kind of bike rack should I buy for my 2007 honda civic?
I recently purchased a 2007 Honda Civic, I also go biking a lot and use my bike rack for this. My old bike rack scratched up the car ( It was a Saris Bones model)
What is the best type of bike rack that keeps my car in the best condition
e.g. hitch or roof rack?
Thanks in Advance!
A: i personally prefer a trunk bike rack because for a civic it is;
1 Low and you are limited to where you go with a roof top bike rack. and the roofs in small vehicles nowadays are alot lighter and they have not got very much support and there weight holding capacity is usually under 100lbs and when going over bumps the load may dent your new roof which would be terrible.
I cant remeber how many times i have seen people hit thing on top of thier cars becaise they forget that it is up there.
2 the civic usually does not come with a hitch and those cost alot of money to have installed and they mess up the look of a compact car.
Personally i would get a bike rack that just gets attached using the suppled cords/ropes, or what ever they use, they can usually carry 3 bikes and they can be used on both hatchbacks and trunks. THey usually run around 80 to 150 dollars each.
they are the best to me because they cost less comparatively and they do not limit where you can go.
Q: How many master keys come with a 2006 Honda Civic?
I recently bought a 2006 Honda Civic from a private seller. He told me that the car came with 2 master keys and one valet key. When I went to pick up the car his wife gave me one master key and the valet key. She said she wasnt aware of another master key.
I read the manual and it mentions 2 master keys. I would like to know if these people still have one of my keys.
A: I bet they do. If your car disappears one day, you’ll know what they did with it.
Q: how do i use the pc card reader on my 2006 honda civic ex navi?
i have a 2006 honda civic ex with the navigation system. im getting tired of burning so many cd’s and want to use the pc card reader that comes with the navigation. what do i need to use it?
A: I don’t think you can – reading removable media reader needs special drivers, and a standard navigation system cannot do that. Even connecting a USB drive through a standard port is not an automatic thing to work.
Q: How long is a battery supposed to last in a 2004 Honda Civic Hybrid?
I am looking at a 2004 Honda civic hybrid and one of my questions is how long does the battery last and how much does it cost to replace it?
A: The 2004 Civic Hybrid battery should have at least an 8-year / 80,000-mile warranty on it. http://www.hondabeat.com/article_details.php?ID=77
If after the warranty expires and the battery dies, it doesn’t make sense to spend thousands to put a brand-new battery into an old car. Just get a refurbished one– They can be had for under $500 on Ebay. Drive it with the refurbed battery for a few more years, then get a new car.
Hope this helps.
Q: My 1993 Honda civic sometimes doesn’t start. when it starts i can hear the fule pump and when it dont start i?
My 1993 Honda civic sometimes doesn’t start. when it starts i can hear the fule pump and when it dont start i cant hear it . what do you think it is.
A: Your fuel pump and fuel pump relay could start to malfunction already. Have these things check first. Hope this help!
Q: How many miles is too many for a Honda Civic Hybrid?
I am looking at a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid. It has 113,000 miles on it. I will only be keeping it for two years. Will I run into problems with it? The cost is around 8500. Do you think it is worth it?
A: If the batteries (2) have been replaced, the brakes periodically replaced, the computers functional, and the special tires replaced, you should be able to get a maintenance service and inspection to keep you going for another couple of years. If these items are all in need of replacement, the cost to buy may be more than the sale price.
Q: Can a Honda Civic car alarm remote work on an Acura Integra?
My car alarm remote for my 1996 Acura Integra GSR is broken(no it doesn’t need new batteries.) My Mom has a spare car alarm remote for her 2003 honda civic laying around, am I able to program it to my Acura Integra and use it?
A: Civic’s don’t come with alarms…if you have an alarm it’s after market…if your Mom’s alarm and your alarm are after market ‘twins’, maybe you can…ask the manufacturer of the alarm.
If you’re asking about FOBS for the car, then NO…the FOB is keyed to your car, it’s not an alarm.
You need to contact Acura about a new FOB.
Q: What is involved in replacing the radiator on a ‘91 Honda Civic?
A friend has asked me to replace her radiator on her ‘91 Honda Civic. I would think this is a simple matter of disconnecting the hoses and replacing the unit. I wanted to know if there is anything else involved, do I need to look out for anything specific, and any other useful tips.
A: If you are going to proceed doing this your self i’d recommend getting a chiltons manual for the car. They can be found at your local library, book stores, and autoshops.
While this type of work on a civic isn’t terribly complex, you should have some kind of direction.
Q: How much would it cost to make my Honda Civic black instead of silver?
Its a 2001 Honda Civic and its basically brand new looking, and its silver. I recently got it from my brother and I am not feeling the silver..
I figure getting it a paint job to make it black would be cheaper than a more “exotic” color like turquoise or something interesting.
Anyways, how much would that cost?
What is the cheapest color then?
I just hate silver.. and as long as it isn’t white or green either i don’t really care
A: well i have black, love the look but its impossible to keep clean, i’d totally take silver, so much easier to keep up with plus black gets super hot in the summer. but anyway, you can get a macco job for like 200 dollars but they do a crappy job and dont last long, you would save a nice sum of money if you prepare the area yourself and just have someone spray it for you. i dont really think color would make enough of a price difference to persuade you to a different color, its mainly quality you’re paying for, if you plan to keep this car awhile i’d either wait and save up for a good paint job, especially since your paint it fine, or if you’re not wanting to keep it forever just get a 1000 job that’ll last a few years. Honestly if it were me i’d stick with silver, since 1 its in good shape and 2 its very easy to care for. then if you ever get in a little fender bender when you’re going to be getting body work done and an insurance check go ahead and paint it then.
