A: Personally the Accord is better in this case. First the power on both.. the City doesn’t compare to the Accord.. the Accord is much better.. runs on a 1.8L or 2.0L engine BUT the City is 1.5L or 1.0L
Also comfort in an Accord, they are simple amazing inside. The City is nice but you get alot less space
And last but not least..!!! I’ve heard by City owners the car is a “cheap” version of Honda, therefore… the cars dings and hinges.. the small things, tend to break and get loose easily..
Like I said before, personally… Accord is much better

Hi everyone, I am a really cheap college student and looking for a Accord within my budget. the most I can pay is 6500
The reason I want to buy a Accord is I want a reliable car.
I currently drive a 93 jeep Grand Cherokee with 120K miles on the engine. It did not pass smog check and I am tired to pay $75 full tank of gas and all the maintenance.
I have been doing research on KBB and Craigslist, and some used car tip site. Currently I have my eye on a 2001 accord 2 door EX 100K on craiglist and selling for 6900, I negotiated the price down to 6500 and the seller willing to pay up to $100 for mechanical inspection fees. I am wondering is it a good deal?
Also, should I save more money to buy a toyota corolla with less miles on the engine? For 6500 I can get a 2000 corolla with 70K on the mile.
Or should I pay 7000 for a 99 accord EX 4 dr with 90K on it?
A newer car with more mile or older car with less mile?

A: not sure where u r, but that is a very good deal in CA.
accords usually coast more than corollas, so you can get a newer corolla for the same money, and numbers show that corolla will give you a better gas millage.
I would go for the newer car, because it shows the car was mostly on highways. And if you dont drive too much it can hold up the value.

A: LoL! You will NEVER get a Honda for 11-12K. Are you joking? This must be a joke! Perhaps if it’s a 10 year old Honda in crappy shape will you buy it for this price. Sorry, but Honda’s and Toyota’s are amongst the most expensive cars because everyone wants them! Don’t waste your money on a car that’s been in an accident, even if it’s a Honda, they will be problematic. Trust me!

Hi, just bought a used Honda Accord. They did a smog test prior to sale ( I have the receipt and certificate of passing), new timing belt about 10,000 miles ago, new brakes.. well taken care of. What in the world could this be? I hear its often the cat, but I’d be surprised based on the fact it just passed smog days ago. Any ideas?
A: Take it to your local Auto-Zone and have them read the codes for the check engine light. That will give you a good starting point.

But in my opinion, that price seems right.
