Q: I'm looking to buy a new or used ford mustang boss. where can i buy the new model and for how much?
A: From what I have read they only made 1000 of them in 2007 and those were considered 2008 models which are already gone.
They are just like the Dodge Challengers, you need to pay for them in advance and then wait, which could take as long as 6 months.........
Q: Average price of a used Ford Mustang 2002-2009?
I'm really in love with Mustangs and really want one as my first car (I'm 15 so I'm getting really excited about owning my first stang!)
So I need to start earning and saving my money for a used mustang but I'm not sure how much I need to get saved up.
Any help??
I'm not picky about year because I love almost every year and model, but past 2002 would be preferable (It would probably help minimize car troubles).
A general price range would be great! Thanks!
A: Look on Kelly Blue Book www.kbb.com for prices in your area. With your age, and the fact that you're paying for it yourself, settle for one with a V-6 engine. Insurance for the V-8 GTs is very high. Also the latest, greatest body style started in 2004.
Q: Buying a used 2002 ford mustang, please help?
I'm living in California, and I'm going to get a 2002 ford mustang for $5,000 and I have about $1,500 to spend on if it had any problems. What do you advise me to do? should I go for it? what is the most common problem with this cars? any other things I need to know about it first?
thanks in advance.
A: If you have a VIN, you might be able to get some info from a Ford/Lincoln dealer in your area. They can look up the technical service bulletins for your model, for your year.
Check out kbb.com for their value on the car. Consumers Reports (just go to the library and find the car edition) can give you some reliability info, too. The National Highway Traffic and Safety site on the web also shows recalls, but that might not be your focus for an 8 year old car.

Q: Can someone give me a cost estimate for a 1966 Ford Mustang coupe, used?
I want my first car to be a 1996 Ford Mustang V8 coupe
something sorta like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1966-Mustang-Coupe-3owner-Rust-Free-Beauty_W0QQitemZ330347446738QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item4cea3e01d2&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245
How much would it cost to get a used mustang, and say, have to put in a radio, fix scratches and repaint?
and fix the engine
it doesnt go back as far as 1966
A: the one on ebay might go for around $6k, it's hard to tell, maybe more. you could put another $6k in a hot motor, and again in a hot paint job...it adds up fast..
so what has it got to do with wanting a 96?
Q: Used 2006 Ford Mustang V6?
Recently, I have been looking into used fifth generation Mustangs as a potential car. I am 21 now. So far, I have heard mixed results about the Mustangs such as the 4.0L V6 breaks head gaskets, the 4.6L V8 is unreliable compared to the V6, the '99-'04 Mustangs are the most reliable, the 2005-2006 Mustangs are horrid, etc. With all these questions flying around, can someone with some experience with these cars tell me if the Mustang will last 5+ years or 150,000 miles without any significant problems? Assuming I don't drive it rough and give it regular oil changes and inspections.
The car I am looking at right now had one owner and has 56,000 miles on it, with an average of 18,000 driven per year. Carfax reports that everything is good, but there is one open recall about the passenger airbag. It is $13,500 right now, do you think I should go for it, or will it become another Ford nightmare in the oncoming years?
The Carfax was free on the websites. I have yet to go down to the dealer and check it out, which I will eventually. However, I did look it up on this http://www.carcomplaints.com/Ford/Mustang/2006/index.shtml and so far it doesn't look good. It has the same amount of problems that my brother's 2007 Camry has but I obviously suspect that they will be more prominent on the Mustang since it is not as reliable.
Gas mileage, while it is definitely something to look for, is second hand compared to the longevity and quality of the car for me right now. I would be willing to sacrifice a few extra miles as long as it meant I could stay out of the garage.
A: They're decent cars, the 4.6's are more reliable than the 4.0's as long as you don't get into it every time you start off. Yes they will last many years and at lest 175K miles if it is taken care of and driven properly. I do agree that the 4.6 in the 99-02 is a little more reliable, but only because it isn't under the same pressures as the 05-09 which make 50 more hp and is under more strenuous conditions.
Don't believe everything on those automotive feedback sites. A lot of times people complain about something going wrong, and it's all because they haven't had they're vehicle serviced on time and don't drive the vehicle properly.
Q: should i get a used 2007 ford mustang gt or used 2008 honda accord coupe v6?
The mustangs are really cheap and affordable ($18,000 with 16,000 miles) while hondas are little expensive even used ($24,000 for V6 used) and gas mileage is about the same on both cars (19/28) for the honda and (17/25) for the ford. Mustangs have been around for many many years so im guessing they are reliable and easy to maintain and hondas are just realiable in everybodys eyes. Both cars run on 87 octane, which is good and both are similar in hp with mustang at 300 and honda v6 at 272. I am 20 years old and I saved money for the past 6 years and now i can finally afford a car. Which one is a better buy for 5-6 years?
A: It sort of depends. The Accord is a nicer, more refined car with a more compliant ride and more interior space. It's engine is smooth and refined and it's generally a more comfortable car.
The Mustang is more raw. The handling is a little bit vauge, but the engine is very enjoyable. The torque and acceleration that come with the v-8 engine are awesome. Even though the power output is similar, the Mustang will feel much faster. It's also rear wheel drive which is another experience all together from the front wheel drive accord.
I owned a 2000 Mustang GT for a few years and I really loved the car. I would buy another one if it made sense for me right now. It too was rated at 23 or 24mpg highway but I never saw that. I usually got 20-21 mpg. The accord will probably get 25 or 26mpg and that makes a bit of a difference if gas gets expensive again (as it surely will). The mustang also required alot of maintenance. I had it in the shop every 6 months or so for something or other. Usually brakes. Even with all of it's faults, the Mustang really thrills you at a more primal level than the Accord will. The Accord flatters your mind with how well engineered the car is and how well it performs it's intended function. It really is a superb piece of engineering. It doesn't seem to have the soul that the Mustang does however.
If you can live with the Mustang's faults and you are someone that really enjoys the v-8 engine and what comes with it, get the Mustang. If you are the more practical type, get the Accord.
For me, I like both things, and it would be a hard choice!
Keep this in mind... the Mustang will cost literally double for auto insurance. No I'm not kidding.
Q: when first time buying a used 1994 ford mustang v8?
what should go get checked out and looked at first to make sure the car is running good and what are some things i should think about changing
A: You've got some great answers to your question... .Mustangs idle so sweet...the rumble murmur of the engine is so sweet...but a give away of get out of there is when warm, the idle should not fluctuate more than 50 or so rpm....around 900 rpm....if the fluctuations are more, guarantee there is an oil pressure problem... and more....
If the car has a performance exhaust... A good chance it was beaten...
Car was pushed hard.
Q: Buying a used FORD MUSTANG?
Hey guys, do mustangs really break more than any other car? I was thinking into buying one (year 2003-2004).
A: Of the mustangs I've owned I have only had general issues. My 66 I rebuilt the motor at 250K, my 99 I did the clutch at 80K (two weeks before it was totaled in a snow storm) and the alternator at 55K. My 2008 has not had a single problem and I have almost 40K on it already. .
